Pentlands Open Studios 2026

Not long to go now till the second Art Trail with POSt. Join me at Venue 6. We have selected 24 artists this year plus the Print Studio at Tiphereth. They are spread over 12 venues in an accessible trail along the very beautiful Water Of Leith Walkway. The trail takes you through the villages of Balerno, Juniper Green and Colinton on the Western edge of Edinburgh, away from the Festival madness.

I will have a some work from the last few years in my studio but also a whole new series called ‘LUXE’.

These are very glossy artworks which layer oil painting with resins, bronze powders and inks. They are opulent, light reflective depictions of elegant women slightly weighed down by the weight of their own adornments. All wear pearls, laden with symbolic meanings but essentially grown from grit.

I will also have a preview of a very special sculpture I have been working on alongside the mould I made for it. You will be able to see every stage of the process that goes into making such a major piece.

The completed sculpture is part of a collaboration with an Augmented Reality artist and is heading to The Saatchi gallery in September for ‘Digitalism’ at the British Art Fair.
